A carefully contrived "live" album performed ostensibly for a convention of Disc Jockeys in Miami, Florida but in reality edited into being in a recording studio from bits of canned applause and even between-song commentaries by Ms Lee and George Shearing. I've always cringed at the harsh/strident applause on this record but didn't learn the truth about it until researching it for this upload. Notwithstanding the truth, the "product" really seems to capture the great appeal of Peggy Lee, singer/songwriter performing.
Lee and Shearing did in fact, perform at a DJ convention in Miami in 1959. Those performances, if they were recorded, are not the ones on this record.
Who needs CGI when we've got tape and razor blades?

After re-reading the text I am uncertain of exactly how this recording came into being. There's unnatural editing involved somewhere here but I still like this CD quite alot
This CD is the 1992 reissue...others appeared later
Peggy Lee never gave me "Fever". Ha ha...
Her best non-singing performance was in an episode of "The Girl from U.N.C.L.E." in 1966.
She and Stefanie Powers worked well together.
And you can keep the razor blades. I'll take the CGI!
